Introducing Stafford Chiropractor, Dr. Mark Bryngelson

I knew at a young age that drugs were not the answer to my health problems. I suffered from health related back issues as far back as the third grade. Thankfully, my family discovered my hometown chiropractor. Dr. Terry Gillenwater started treating me soon after highschool graduation and put me on the path to healing.

I was already taking premedical requirements (anatomy, physiology, organic chemistry, and biology) in college to become an optometrist when I first saw Dr. Gillenwater. Those visits made me realize "this is the type of doctor I really want to be because chiropractors help the body help itself". It just made sense and seemed more exciting than working with just the eye, by the way, it has been. Therefore, my studies were not in vain but could be use for the doctorate of chiropractic.

I finished my premedical studies and was accepted at Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA. During my four years at Life, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Life Chiropractic College Public Clinic. After graduating in 1992, I settled in Virginia to establish my practice.

I have been married for 18 years to my college sweetheart. We have 4 great children, a boy and three girls, ranging in ages from 8 - 15. I enjoy playing golf, fishing, spending time with my children and working on my "honey do" list. My family and I attend Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Stafford where we have been members for over 14 years.

I believe in most instances, if the spine is in alignment and nerve function is healthy, the body has the power to heal itself. The body must also have the proper nutrition, exercise and rest. Therefore, I try to eat right, take natural nutritional supplements, engage in regular physical activity (yes, I count fishing) and try to get a full night's rest. I cannot express, however, just how important it is to me to receive regular chiropractic adjustments.

Enough about me! How can we help you with today's safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health and a pain free life.

Dr. Mark Asks some important questions of interest to Stafford residents - Chiropractor Stafford Dr. Mark Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
Would you rather feel good or be healthy?
Ask most people in Stafford and they want to feel good. Careful! Would you take medicine that makes you feel good, rather than vomit to expel improperly prepared food? Every chiropractic patient knows that you can't measure your health by how you feel. True health is when your body works as it should.
